About Jason Jason was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He was an athlete before finding his way into the performing arts. After graduating from Miami University he made his way to NYC where he began to study the craft of acting.
While in NYC, he began studying at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He continued to study with Bill Esper, Lloyd Williamson, Sheila Gray, Harold Guskin and Wynn Handman. While continuing to work on his craft, Jason booked legit, commercial and print work. Feeling the need to deepen his understanding of the craft, Jason applied and was accepted to the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University and the MXAT where he received his MFA in Acting. While there, Jason had the opportunity to work with and be directed by Robert Woodruff, Karin Coonrod, Janos Szasz, Andrei Serban and Anne Bogart. Shortly after graduating, Jason had the great opportunity to work at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in a production of The Cherry Orchard directed by Michael Grief, sharing the stage with Jessica Chastain, Chris Messina, Michelle Williams, Reed Birney, Linda Emond, Rictchie Coster and other talented performers. While in Los Angeles, Jason booked roles on both Network and Cable television shows including Dexter, Without A Trace, CSI:Miami and more. He continued to be seen in commercials and began to coach other actors for auditions or on set work. He continues coaching to this day and has taught independently, at the Cleveland Playhouse, Shenandoah Conservatory and Wright State University. Jason recently took time to go back to the stage where he was seen as Jason in Medea, Septimus Hodge in Arcadia and Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire. While continuing his work on the stage, Jason honed his craft as a writer, editor and director of film and has two 30 minute short features that will make their way onto the festival circuit in 2016.
